This has been a turbulent fourteen days. Had a new home for a short while, lived with the sad and odd. Sometimes people seemed dead already and I worried I began to look like that. Its a scary thing to be new... ring the bell... NEW. In this madhouse I found a girl, who came across strong, but oozed the vulnerability that seeped out the pores of the concrete walls. Her voice was loud and spoke with such integrity. I was drawn. So was she. There was a intimate exchange which led to distraction of why I chose this home. It was a grand distraction. Beginning to end...out of her favor and confused. God I love being an artist. What would life be like without these flashes of passion, how could the soul survive? So much flattery to be substantial. A duty needing to be fulfilled. Dot..Dot..Dot

She told me not to step on the cracks
I told her not to fuss and relax
Well, her pretty little face stopped me in my tracks
But now she sleeps with one eye open
That's the price she paid

I took a knife and cut out her eye
I took it home and watched it wither and die
Well, she's lucky that I didn't slip her a smile
That's why she sleeps with one eye open
That's the price she paid

I said, hey, girl with one eye
Get your filthy fingers out of my pie
I said, hey, girl with one eye
I'll cut your little heart out cause you made me cry

I slipped my hand under her skirt
I said don't worry, it's not gonna hurt
Oh, my reputation's kinda clouded with dirt
That's why you sleep with one eye open
That's the price you paid

I said, hey, girl with one eye
Get your filthy fingers out of my pie
I said, hey, girl with one eye
I'll cut your little heart out cause you made me cry
